I was torn whether to spend the extra on the better machine. After much consideration and then finding a great on-line price and a rebate offered by Margaritaville. I bought the top end machine. I couldn't be happier with the performance and quality of this model. It makes awesome drinks. My husband was very skeptical that is was just a glorified blender, but it really makes frozen drinks like the bars do! Now I have that frozen concoction that helps me hang on!!!!

we love our margaritaville. it makes awesome drinks. the margaritas come out just like the ones in restaurants. we plan to experiment more with it and try daiquiris. the margaritas this machine makes are awesome. I was leary about spending so much money on a drink machine but it is worth it. if you are thinking of purchasing it. you will not be dissappointed.

When the Margaritaville Fiji Frozen Concoction Machine arrived it was a very easy setup. The instructions were straightforward and in no time the step-by-step set up had the machine ready to produce some delicious frozen beverages. The craftsmanship and quality were apparent at the onset, and the weight of the machine gave a certain feel of durability. My guests commented that they loved the look of the machine, and the brushed-nickel finish really made it stand out.I loaded it up with ice, utilizing bagged ice from a local grocery store mixed with ice from my refrigerator ice maker and looked at the instructions to see which drink I wanted to make. I then choose from four preprogrammed drink cycles; margaritas, daiquiris, slides, (mudslides) or smoothies, and then decided whether I wanted one, two or three drink settings. I then flipped the automatic Shave-N-Blend switch, and the machine automatically mixed the right proportion of ice with ingredients and timed it just right. I love this machine. The margaritas came out smooth every time. I only wish my local restaurants would order them, because every time I go to my local Mexican restaurant, there are ice chunks in the glass. Not so with this baby. It may turn into a hazy summer at the pool, I'll have to be careful.

I bought this for my husband as a holiday gift and he loved it the minute he took it out of the box.I was not happy of how long it took to ship and the delay on top of that.[...] This one was the best choice out of all the other models out there in the market. I purchased both models and took one back and kept this one. It has a bigger hold on the ice as well as the drip storage area. It was the hit of my husband's party! Everyone asked him where he purchased it from. It is nice that you can make many different drinks with it. The only thing we have a problem with is that it is hard to store away so now we just keep it out on the bar. It is a conversation piece in my house. My husband said it was the best gift he ever received. Glad I bought it for him.

Has more power than the first Margaritaville Maker. Consistently good margaritas every time. Expensive but worth it if you're a real aficionado of the frozen concoction. Barbecues.com is a great company that I would highly recommend!
